I think we ended up here by complete accident. There are endless restaurants on the River Walk so it's hard to decide when you're not really feeling touristy. We noticed big salads on the menu and figured we'd give it a try. The restaurant is dark and deceivingly large. We were seated quickly inside with air conditioning. There were several people inside and thus quite loud. The loudest had to be the bachelorette party howling in the corner, but they were certainly having a great time! Our server was friendly and energetic, listed off the specials and took our drink orders. We started off with a seafood sampler platter which was super tasty and we each ordered salads. Those salads are M A S S I V E and full of all the veggies. It was perfect!

Tina and James were the best!!! Excellent service, great food/cocktails, and wonderful recommendations for the Riverwalk area. Tina made our evening. This spot has great views of the river as well

I've always liked the Riverwalk in San Antonio and spending time at Paesanos is a blast. Thank you Alex Hernandez it was enjoyable.

Excellent location! We got seats in the patio overlooking the riverwalk and it set the tone for our evening! Felt like we were in Europe nestled between trees and water Fantastic food! It truly was fresh, authentic and wholesome! Service was incredible! The meals came quick the servers were attentive and kind Overall a great spot and totally recommend it!

If you find yourself in San Antonio, please do your self a favor and check out Paesanos on the Riverwalk! The service was outstanding; I couldn't have asked for more! I ordered a Shirley Temple and the Burrata Bruschetta, which consisted of six crostini topped with burrata, roasted tomato wedges, cracked pepper, fresh basil leaf, and a balsamic reduction. While it was tasty, I found the burrata wasn't as flavorful as it should've been. Despite this, the overall experience was very pleasant, and the beautiful Riverwalk setting made it even more enjoyable!

Enjoyed this fine dining establishment on the Riverwalk with the Grilled Artichokes for the starting dish on a July 3rd night. I went all out and had the special with filet mignon, lobster & shrimp for the Oscar Style sauce topping. I requested asparagus instead of mash potatoes & the waiter easily accommodated the revision. My Caesar Salad came out in a reasonable time as the kitchen support staff backed up the waiter like clock work. The Angel Envy Bourbon paired well with the tasty food. You will pay a premium price on some of the menu items here. But they delivered here when my daughter asked for a big meatball with the children's spaghetti plate the dish had exactly what she had requested.

Service was great, we had a gentleman, I don't remember his name. Spiked strawberry lemonade 10/10 Delicious and refreshing! Complementary bread and olive oil The bread was the slightest bit on the denser side. The oil did have spices and herbs in it, but wasn't flavored very much. Mostly tasted like plain olive oil. The Sampler for Two I actually ordered this as my meal. It was enough food. Shrimp Paesano 10/10 Shrimps were huge! This combo you get 2, in the full dish you get 5. The shrimps were lightly breaded nicely and cooked perfectly. The sauce was also yummy. This does not include any pasta, only the shrimp with the lemon butter garlic sauce. Parmesan Crusted Artichoke Hearts 9/10 These were really good. It comes with two fried artichoke hearts, magically formed into a ball. The artichokes were just slightly on the dry side, but the flavor was still good. The basil pesto aioli on top was also delicious. Giant Calamari 8/10 ? You get 3 calamari strips. Tried a bite for the first time. It was just okay. I don't think I would order it by itself. It was cut in strips/julienne and kinda looked like a French fry lol. But it did not taste like a French fry obviously. It was dense, not super chewy or rubbery. Didn't have much flavor either, I mostly tasted the breading. Sauces One was marinara and i think the other was the Lime caper aioli. I only dipped my bite of calamari, it was a pretty good sauce for the 1 bite I tried.

One of the best places we ate while in San Antonio! I'm gluten free and the staff and menu is VERY accommodating. The gluten free garlic bread you can skip for sure, but the pasta is delicious. They made the table extra special for our anniversary and gave us a card. So sweet! Great wine selection, great food, great vibes. Loved it!
